Can you guys pls suggest me some good auto shop where I should be taking my car. Its an oldie, 108k miles, so I can compromise on quality (not too much) if it saves me some $$..
Also, is it a DIY thing?

Thanks

Hello everyone,

- I stay in San Jose, near downtown.
- Haven't bought any parts yet, wanted to check first if this can be taken care of by re-surfacing only (hope to save something )
- Dont have much experience on DIY things and tools.. So all kind of help will be very much appreciated. (And yes, I can offer some beer as thanks, unless we end up like an oil change DIY post somewhere on this site.. can't find the post.)

Buy the parts and hit me up. I'll assist you in doing it if you don't mind getting your hands a little dirty. Its quite simple as I have all the tools. I'm located in SF.

Hello,

I met Ken('desired_speeds') today and he helped me do it. It was real quick! and with all tools in place, easy too.

My thanks to ken and others who responded!
