Nice Gary! guess u got a project of ur own? every1 heard the 350Z/G35 stock exhaust rite? well any1 know where its comin from or have an ideal? i was thinkin mayb the the mufflers(hopefully not the motor). then i can just mod it and slap it under my car. think it will sounds good/look good on a CL?

 

I think it's been discussed before on the CL forums but from my memory...it's not just the mufflers. Some others said that you could remove one of the resonators and you'll get a closer sound to that of a G35.

 

Yea, I heard that its not just the mufflers that make the sound but the torquey engine contributes to it.

Plus how are you going to fit that style of muffler under the car? Its not a y-pipe split like on the CL/TLs.

I has the G35 sound on my car but it has more to do with that torqes ass engine

I'm doing the JDM Honda Inspire front end swap (02-03 TLS). I got all but the front bumper. So I'm waiting patiently for it to arrive after Christmas. I don't think or know anyone who has attempted to do this swap b4 on a CLS. I guess I'll be the first one

 

I might, if any other CLS out there are interested.

 

the closest i think i've heard (from the tl side should be same with cl) is HKS dual mufflers with deleted mid muffler (not resonator) . thats what im running

 

^ but its not hella close to a g35, just deep and loud

 

Someone did a TL front end swap already...I'll try and find it.

It was on a Tafetta white CL. Pretty sick looking.

And as it turns out it was just the TL bumper modified and not the entire front clip.

lol I use to have the HKS muffler but I sold it to Gary. I'll just stick with the stocks.

 

I've seen that white CL on AZ before. He molded the lower half of the TL bumper to the top half of the CL bumper. Looks nice tho.

 

I believe that CL actually had a full TL bumper modified to a CL front clip, not just the lip kit.

No, I think Tim is right. Bottom TL bumper molded to top CL bumper.

TL and CLs sound different because of the extra resonator the TL has, thats why the mid muffler delete sounds different for both cars. I don't have anything deleted on my CL, its loud enough for me.

If the dude did the full TL front bumper then I would ask him how? I'll still PM him just to see if I can get more info. But looks like he not even on AZ anymore
