I actually drove the 210 miles to SF and back to see (Gary's)gc86's exhaust.
and yes, I was driving slow on the freeway. the average was 60 following semis (staying back so rocks dont chip my hood) and with cruise control. There was no point in me driving fast, time was not a concern so might as well take it easy on my car and stretch my dollars. There was 1 stop of traffic there and more bumper to bumper coming back. and i did hit 4k twice. I have a drop in filter with resonator removed but im also driving around with 18's and subs in the trunk.
So this shows that if anyone really tries to get good mileage on the freeway, they can and they can go much higher then mine with stock tires, empty trunk, no quick accels and no traffic. 40 mpg can be broken.
