New from TX, UA7 TL
First off, I'm putting a TL;DR at the end of this in case you don't want to read it all.
Hello to all of y'all.
I was looking at the 3rd generation TLs almost 2 years back when I was buying my first car, but I just couldn't find any good ones within my budget and I ended up buying another German car that I loved. My parents were set on buying me a fairly newer car, no more than 5 years old (2009 since it was 2014 at the time) and so I had to let go of the idea of getting a 3rd gen. I fell in love with the Type-S, but that was too far out of budget. BUT ANYWAYS, enough of the backstory and on to the main story.
About a month ago, our minivan got flooded and they totaled it, so we were stuck with 2 cars at home, which was an issue since there were so many conflicts with timing and having to drop each other off at places, and starting next week, we will need 2-3 cars just to drive towards downtown for work & school, so we decided to go out and get another car finally. We'd been looking at some nice SUVs, but since we needed it for long commutes, we decided to just go ahead and get a 3rd sedan and buy the SUV later. I went ahead and test drove a 2014 TL and it was nice and all, but it just wasn't the one I liked. My dad liked the car a lot, but I didn't like the body as much as the 3rd generation. They had ONE of those on the lot, which was in really good condition actually. The plan was that if we got the 2014, then I'd let my dad take it, but if we got the 2008, I would take it and he could take my 2010 Passat.
In the end, we decided to buy the 2008 TL (Nighthawk Black Pearl), which only had 43.5k miles on it and so ever since then, I've been lurking around on this site and trying to start planning out mods for the car and whatnot. I actually didn't know there was such a big community with such helpful people, especially just the ones that own 3rd gen. TLs lol
TL;DR I recently purchased a 2008 TL 3.2 w/ Navi. and 43.5k miles, auto trans., color is Nighthawk Black Pearl with a Parchment colored interior.
So if y'all have any suggestions on mods that I should go for, I'd appreciate the advice and I'm open to any suggestions. I'm also open to criticism and any opinions y'all have about not adding any specific mod for whatever reason. I've been thinking about an A-Spec kit (front, rear, side skirts), a spoiler, roof spoiler, POSSIBLY change the headlights and maybe (unlikely) the headlight housing, hyper yellow fog lights, interior LEDs, If you want, I can post some pictures later on too. I just don't have any yet, because I wanted to wash the car first
