Acura vehicles are such great cars. I currently own a 2016 RDX and love it. I joined this site to learn about the older TSX models, i.e. 2004-2008 model years. I am assuming they run and handle much like a Civic Si. Instead of assuming I'd like to verify that. I am also wondering if obtaining parts for those cars is a problem.

I had an 06 TSX 5AT Aspec I purchased new in 2006 and was totaled with +176,000 miles in 2018 by a red light runner. Probably still be on the road today if it wasn't totaled. The 06-08 TSX models are pretty much identical with the addition of TPMS added to the 07-08 models. The 06-08 models also had some improvement in the 2.4L engine for more hp/tq compared to 04-05 TSXs (04/05 was around 190-195 hp compared to 205hp for +06). Finding an 06-08 TSX with 6MT would be unicorn for this model. The 5AT TSX were OK; but, the 5AT zapped some power away from 2.4L engine (trade off was a little better mpgs with 5AT). I did add Progress RSB to the Aspec lowered suspension to my TSX along with Fastline adjustable endlinks, rear camber kit, and Heel Toe Skunk2 adjustable control arms. After market support might be a little harder for a vehicle this old.

Other options for the 1st Gen TSX are:
- 1st Gen 07-12 RDX: imagine the TSX with more power and sh-awd
- 2nd Gen TSX: larger and more curb weight compared to 1st Gen. V-6 option
- ILX: very similar 2.4L engine with more tq and improved auto transmission. ILX has a compact size of original 1st Gen TSX
