Hello. I just bought a 2008 Acura MDX one week ago. I love it. But I'm having a small problem with a blinking Anti-theft light on the radio.
I have posted about it and some kind member gave me some good instructions.
There is one thing about this forum I find very distracting. That is a kind of "auto completion" for some words and phrases. Is there any way for me to turn that off? At least until I have gotten familiar with some other features?
I have checked the FAQ and I have searched through my User Profile Settings page. But I cannot find any mention of anything that would be controlling this behavior. Can anyone tell me where it is providing it is a tool of this forum and not some Windows setting?

It took me a minute to try to decide if you were serious or just making fun of me. But I decided you must be serious and I would describe it as "blinky blinky" where each blink is one second apart.
When I first bought the car (one week ago), I would estimate the blinks were about 4 seconds apart.
The car came with a 30 day warranty and the dealer is the first person I've ever met who sells used cars that I would describe as completely honest. He says he will have a mechanic come to look at some other issue with the radio and we will ask him when he comes about the blinking.
At this time, I am confused by the number of people here who seem to think this is perfectly normal and those who think it is a well known problem that requires me to enter a 5 digit security code to fix it. I cannot understand why Acura would ever design this into their system in such a way that it requires the owner to disconnect the battery for ten minutes and then reattach it and turn on the radio and enter a code.
I can go along with the fact this is a solution to the problem. The mystery is why in the world would Acura ever design their anti-theft system to have such a cumbersome difficult solution. Why not just have people enter a code somewhere to clear it? It just seems so bizarre to me.
