Hello everyone! I've "lurked" for many years, always using the forums for Acura info when needed. I personally have a 2004 Tacoma 5 speed and my parents have a 2nd gen Tundra Platinum. About 4 years ago we sold our '15 FWD TLX tech to go to trucks fully (fit what we wanted more at the time) and didn't look back. Parents have a long Acura history going back 2+ decades (CL, 3 TLs, TLX) and an RL or RLX has always been the end goal! Super clean '17 Bellanova white SH (76,000mi) popped up at our local dealer last week and we immediately went to get it. Space is amazing and the driving experience is equally so! Handles like a smaller car than it really is in my opinion and the power is a thrill.
It needs the 7DCT fluid change as I have found with the TSB #19-004 for these cars which is being done today but beyond that, what a phenomenal car!
Hopefully can meet some more SH owners here (maybe with higher miles) as my parents' only real concern with the car is long-term reliability.
Thanks in advance everyone!
I have a CPO 18 RLX Sport Hybrid since Dec 2019. The only issues after +6 years and +35,000 miles was the 7DCT TSB firmware update, failed 12v battery in 2021, waiting on fuel pump recall, and replacement of rear electric sunshade replacement. Not counting 1 pinch flat and one bent rim because of the low profile tires. I've noticed people of a "certain age" really really like and appreciate the looks of the RLX.
That is one gorgeous super clean 2017 RLX-SH, A neighbor up the street has one (bought new, can't recall the year). He intends to keep it as long as he can, he loves the handling and ride so much so his much newer MDX is driven mostly by his kids.

Great stuff to know! Even I love how understated the RLX looks and I'm only 19 - although it's definitely not for everyone it makes a great sleeper!

I was a little disappointed Acura didn't go out with a bang with the 18-20 RLX and added the updated info-tainment with Carplay, electronic dampers, 2nd row digita A/C and heat controls, electric close trunk, real wood trim, and 4 IDS modes (comfort, normal, sport, sport+). Some of these thing are on the Japanese Honda Legend model.

Funny that I had actually been looking at Legends and noticed most of this.. sat there wondering why we got so skipped over
SIDE NOTE: Anyone know if it's possible to make the power distribution display full screen? Ours wants to share it with the navigation, which we don't use. Would be nice to just have the power dist page.

I haven't figured out a way to make the power distribution full screen on the upper Navi screen. My compromise is to have it up on the HUD with digital mph displayed. Unfortunately, you mostly get the tq vectoring graphics in not the EV/DTE info in the HUD.
I'm a little down on I.C.E. hp/tq living/driving 5000-7200ft in NM. The 3.5L is rated at 310hp/273tq at the crank and the electric motors are down closer to the wheels with less drivetrain loss. The electric motor/generator inside the 7DCT and rear TMU (Twin Motor Unit) adds max tq at idle. Very hard to calculate hp/tq max numbers and graph without a four wheel dyno. My 19 MDX Sport Hybrid only has around 100lbs more curb weight; but, the electric motors of the RLX seems to be programed to output more power (increased tq vectoring, more regen braking, engaging at higher speeds, longer EV mode, EV mode in reverse, etc...). Depending on conditions, the RLX can really feel equivalent to +400 hp I.C.E. if you are in the right gear and hit the tq of all 4 motors just right. I really feel the 377hp/341tq is conservative. Unfortunately, the 18-20 RLX SH is nose heavy, has a softer tuned suspension, and no electronic dampers to take full advantage of the hp/tq once the road gets twisty. My 19 MDX SH has a noticeably improvement in handling with the electronic dampers, larger rear stabilizer bar, and sportier seats to be my weapon of choice in mountain switchbacks compared to my RLX (improved the handling of my MDX when I upgraded from OEM 245/50/20 to and inch wider 275/45/20 tires).
I wish I could merge all the best parts of MDX/RLX sport hybrid together (HUD, 3.5L engine, 4 IDS modes, electronic dampers, rear electronic A/C heat controls, EV power delivery, Carplay, wood trim/chrome accent pieces, etc...).
