Just bought 2012 TSX
Hello all,
I just bought a 2012 TSX with around 75k miles on it. It's a base model, but it's in very good, clean condition. It has a clean title, and I couldn't find any records of accidents. I've learned a lot about how to research a cars history over the last few years. I wrecked my 98 Accord in 2018 and have bought 3 cars since, with the TSX being the third. I really hope I've finally found a solid car that will last like my good old Accord did.
My immediate goal is to make sure that everything in this car is working properly, and that she's got what she need to keep me going for a long time (like my old faithful 98 Accord). I know I will have to do some work to get the car to where I want it. I'm far from being a car mechanic, but I can do a lot of maintenance and repairs on my own (oil, brakes, belts, timing chain, head gasket, some cam valve work, water pump, fuel pump/s, valve cover gasket, injectors, all the little sensors etc, steering and suspension (not the custom stuff). I think I understand the concepts and mechanics behind most of the mod and tuning stuff, but I've never done any of it. So of course, I know nothing of how all the data that correlates into improved performance. I would love turn this little car into a modest little sleeper, but my current life financial situation could probably only support the essential.
Anyway, I'll probably ask a lot of questions, but I'll do my research first. I hope I can also bring something to the table, when I come upon something I think hasn't been discussed. I look forward to learning and discussion about the exceptional vehicles. I'm too old to be a fanboy, but I'm a believer in Honda.
Thanks all
