2013 Acura TL SH-AWD

Hey all, I am the owner of this car for several years now. Bought it off the dealership who used it as a loaner for a couple of years. It's a great car and I have loved driving it all these years. I don't get to drive it much since I take the train to work but still need it from time to time

After viewing a few posts here over the years I finally decided to join more actively. The car needs more maintenance now than it did before and advice of experts on this forum will be much appreciated.

Its awesome that you've decided to start posting here! Definitely get out more and drive around if and when you can. By the way, what other cars have you owned in the past?

Welcome to Acurazine. Post a picture of the ride. Were you considering any other vehicles before you decided on the SH-AWD?

This is a little dated from when I bought it several years ago. Haven't had a reason to take pictures since then and it's also slightly more beat up. But only 90k miles so I hope to use it quite a bit more.

I drove a 2008 Accord V6 Coupe for several years before buying this. I looked around other similarly aged and priced used sedans before deciding on this TL. I test drove Infiniti, Lexus, Subaru, Volvo, BMW and Audi sedans and thought this TL was the best option from a price and driving experience perspective. I have been considering a second car lately which could be a Subaru Outback or similar but that will probably have to wait a year or two.

I love the 4G TL SH-AWD so much that I've had three different ones in the past 18 months. I recently decided to take it up a notch, and obtain a ZDX, which is basically just a lifted TL with more storage space. These platforms are stellar, and the best overall daily driver experience, in my opinion.

That's great man. It's a great car for sure. Do you use the dealership for repairs and maintenance?

For now, I am looking to get better at maintaining my car without spending a fortune. I have been using a local mechanic for the past couple of years for maintenance and a few repairs like new brakes/rotor, battery and the likes. But more things have been coming up. What is the best way to ask for opinion? Post the problem in the model (4G TL) community?

I maintain my vehicles myself. If there's an aspect that I can't handle myself, I have a friend that's a Master Technician, which I rely on. We have a garage/shop in our area that let's car enthusiasts work on their own cars, renting a lift and tools. You should search on the forum before posting a new thread. This platform has been around long enough that all of the issues have been encountered, and solved.
