Talking ‘04 Automatic TL, Hello

This is my second car. I am torn between keeping it and trying to manual swap it or just selling it off to get a ‘08 manual tl. It’s got cracking paint, the front seats have a lot of superficial damage, and the Drive indicator for the transmission is blinking. It has 170,000 miles on it, only >3,000 are mine. Oh, and it has a blown bearing but I can’t even afford to fix even that right now. despite all that, I really like it and could almost, almost, see a path towards it being in good shape.

Welcome and congratulations! No car is perfect. I'd fix what you have and enjoy it.

Welcome to Acurazine. I owned a 2007 TL Type S in 2021, and it was the best FWD car that I've experienced yet. I would recommend you find a 2007-2008 Type S, even if it's 5AT, like mine was. There are quite a few favorable upgrades the Type S had over the base models. If you must have a manual transmission, then the price is going to be a bit steeper.
