Never been to any racing event....Anything cool to be watching out for?

I was there for several CART events. Can't say for sure about the IRL. But, you shouldn't have any trouble finding a place to park or being able to move around the stands. The reason you got free tickets is that they can't sell any.

Best places to watch:

1) The entry to turn one (CART had to brake here, don't know about the IRL cars). Limited visibility past one because of the walkover bridge, but can be very interesting.

2) The exit of the 3 - 4 complex. Most of the passing (ala CART) was done entering 3 (not sure about IRL again). Good visibility of this end of the track.

IRL offers close "racing" but is a little disapointing to open wheel fans. The cars are somewhat underpowered and have too much downforce. The result is most cars being flat all the way around, therefore its a drafting contest. Nazareth is pretty small and tight for an oval, so there may be good racing here if there's a lot of braking involved. With the IRL there almost certainly will be cars in the wall!

Good place to eat: Jack's Creek Steakhouse. Stay on Rt 22 going west to Airport Rd (3 exits from the road to the track); go south on Airport Rd to the 1st light & turn left; its in the shopping center on your right - the outside is pink. Good steaks, good beer!
