according to the people in autoblog comments a lot of it is not true.
I know once part thats not true
These cars get up to 5G's in cornering forces not 3.5.
Also they have to graphs for braking. One from 120mph-0 shows it in 3 sec.
Another shows 124mph to 0 in 2.2??

IIRC 3-3.5G is the typical maximum F1 cornering forces with the flat bottom cars. The highest forces are the braking forces, which are in the 4-4.5G range and that's under great conditions. I don't believe any F1 car (including skirted ground effects) has ever gotten up to 5G.

I stand corrected, I thought it was ~4.5G max. braking force. Although Monaco is only 3.7G
The surface conditions and also the speed which affects the downforce. That's probably the reason Monaco is ~30% less. It's on a street circuit whose pavement is probably not as much static friction as a race pavement. Also the speed is lower so there is not as much downforce.

I watch every race, and have seen the cars hit 5.0G under braking when the info-graphics are up on screen. Here are a few videos that show the braking forces involved for various tracks, all over 5g.

I've been watching most races and whenever they show that G force thing there will usually but a turn in a track that reaches above 4 and some 5.
And i'm talking about cornering forces. I've seen commentators mention it too that its reaching 5G's in the corners.
I watched the Lewis Hamilton lap of Silverstone and it looks like he is at 5G cornering forces, now I stand corrected twice in one thread 
That said if they are hitting 5G lateral, I'm surprised they are not getting almost 6G in braking forces.

Watch the second to last video on west's post. First turn. 5G's of cornering force. These cars can pull that in the high speed corners with particular conditions theres only a few of them out there, but the point is they can do it.

The Hamilton vid is pretty cool.
Just to nit-pick, it looks like the 5G in the first turn is a combination of cornering and braking. Regardless, he hits 5G again at 0:19 (at Maggots?) with no braking or throttle lift.

According to this article in 2006 the Honda F1 car had 4.5G cornering forces and 5.5G braking forces. They've come a long way up to 5G in only 5 years. I have to wonder if the recent changes to the braking regulations have decreased the braking forces.
