Yea, i would feel this way if it was leading to them winning every race, or allowing them to run a different car or set of rules on the track. But they arent. It isnt giving them any special advantage on race day.

In the wake of the 'Multi-21' affair, Red Bull has abolished team orders.

"There will be no more team orders by us," the energy drink company's motor sport director Helmut Marko told Germany's Sport Bild on Wednesday.

Sebastian Vettel ignored the team's instruction to stay behind leader Mark Webber in Malaysia recently, sparking the controversy.

The saga left team owner Dietrich Mateschitz "very unhappy," Marko admitted.

Austrian Marko also echoed billionaire Mateschitz's recent claim that Kimi Raikkonen is a candidate to drive for the reigning champions next year.

"Kimi Raikkonen is someone who is on our list (of candidates) for next year," confirmed Marko.

Australian Webber's current contract runs out at the end of 2013.

The 36-year-old has been linked with a move to Porsche's 2014 Le Mans prototype project.
Let's race.

http://www.emotionreports.com/downlo...fs/ferrari.pdf

In the early 2000's the Bridgestone tires were made specifically for Ferrari and Schumachers driving style, some of the FIA by-laws prohibit specifically made tires but Bridgestone always took the input from other teams and essentially ignored it. The other competitive teams used Michelin.

But what annoyed me was Ferrari claiming the wide front Michelin's were illegal even though they FIA ruled them legal for two season. Then Ferrari had Bridgestone copy the tire size and made their own "illegal" legal tire.

1979 seasone were FIA had point scoring rules that again favored Ferrari so Scheckner won the WDC. Just couple examples, but there were a few others that escape me were Ferrari got preferential treatment.

Interesting strategy by Vettel and Button to not put a flying lap in Q3.

Is their plan to have sets of fresh rubber for the race, because they are concerned about tire degradation?

Didn't Button try that at one of the races last year, with good result?

That was a pretty good race.

It's crazy how fast the soft tires would go off.

also either hamilton or mercedes chassis needs to be better with tires. Probably both. Their tires went out too quick. He lost pace very quickly at the end when looking at Kimi, as he was catching him.

This season has been great all around. A little of everything in each race - team strategies, drama, tire management, mechanical and pit failures and a few crashes here and there. I like!

Props to Alonso and Ferrari on the big W. On to Bahrain!

You'd think people wouldn't have the balls to be uncivil in a society that tolerates very little digression.

Looks like there is unrest,...

http://news.yahoo.com/clashes-flare-...2897--spt.html

MANAMA, Bahrain (AP) — Groups protesting Bahrain's Formula One race have put up makeshift roadblocks and barricades of burning tires during clashes with security forces in the violence-wracked Gulf nation.

The demonstrations on Thursday were mostly isolated to anti-government hotbed areas, however, and unlikely to disrupt preparations for Sunday's race, which is the premier international event in the kingdom.

Anti-government groups have stepped up protests against the race in attempts to embarrass authorities. Rights group, including Amnesty International, have criticized Bahrain's arrests and other security crackdowns.

The latest clashes were mostly in Shiite districts that are often scenes of unrest. Graffiti on walls said: "No F1. Don't race on our blood."

Bahrain has faced more than two years of violence between the Sunni-led government and majority Shiites seeking a greater political voice.

They showed this last week too. Was pretty cool. Although I'm more interested about the 36 hrs of race weekend, not some random day under development. But I guess drivers wouldnt want to be followed then

He did good for a little then just went bad

I'm surprised at hamilton's results. I thought Mclaren and even Webber would have had him.
