F1 to regulate Schumi?

i was watching pti (pardon the interruption) on espn and they brought up that f1 is trying to add weights to michael schumacher's car because he is dominating the series too much. wtf is that. the only reason ferrari is so dominant is cause they spend to much damn money on the series but its also because they have the money to spend. the rest of the teams dont even spend half as much as ferrari does and thats why i see such big differences b/w teams. i say if f1 could go under some kind of ruling that would make everyone have equal cars and make it entirely about driving skills it would probably be more entertating imo

there were new ideas by the FIA to make F1 more competitive. less testing, cutting costs, less qualifying, and the one you mentioned. adding weights probably wont happen though

I hate that idea. I think F1 is pretty boring now due to the Ferrari domination, but i don't like the idea of penalizing anyone because they are too successful. The other teams need to work harder.

Actually, the penalty spoken of by Bernie E, having no ability to do so I might add, is that the team scoring a certain number of points advantage over the season be weight corrected. Ferrari, Williams and McLaren have decried this idea b/c they have no interest in 1) beating a car that is artificially handicapped, and 2) think it's outrageously unfair b/c it penalizes the efforts put into the car engineering-wise. I agree MS wins a lot of races by his racing skill but c,mon, w/o a ride in the top 3 teams, he wld not be winning (like say he was in a BAR car). Gotta remember, Bernie's an organizer, not a member of the FIA governing body so his ideas are just that, ideas. That is, unless Max Mosely pix up on those ideas.

Astro, you sure about that? Ferrari's budget is 325M/year! Why wld David Richards be sqwakin' about JV's salary if he had cash like that at his disposal?
