I love football, but i need to see racing !! Hell, there weren't even any good rumors about silly season this weekend. I'm dying to see where some of these CART teams and drivers are gonna end up next year. Who knows, maybe an F1 driver or two might head this way

I doubt any F1 ers are coming over. No good seats right now. We need more of the younger guys anyway - Gidley, Barron, Rice, Fogarty, Gurney, etc.

I wouldn't mind seeing Tomas Schekter come over from the Indy Retirement League either.

Didn't owner/driver Eddie Cheever throw Schekter off his team for repeated wrecks/DNFs?

No, underaCheever hired Buddy Rice to drive a 3rd car to "motivate" young Schekter. A couple races later he failed to show up (not sure for which race, I don't follow the iRL that closely) and said he was quiting the team.

He's talented, but a loose cannon. I'm not sure I want him in CART either. Although he might break PT's record for crashed cars.

You're probably right ! I heard he quit because he said the equipment was not safe. He does have a contract with Cheever, so we'll see what happens.
