Window Tint in Cincinnati

Anyone have any suggestions? I'm looking for 50% well done - gotta stay legal. All tinting I've done was in Florida so I have no reference in this area. Thanks for the recommendations - I'd prefer a shop that knows of the need for and will install the moleskin.

Remember that you have some tint already built into the windows.
Ohio police are very strict!

Why the fuck do people do this? You can't read?

The OP lives where he has an annual EPA and/or safety inspection and wants HIS car to stay legal. Maybe *you* don't have to live with that little issue, but the OP (and many others) does.

If that means 50% who the fuck cares how good YOU think 20% looks? You gonna pay his fines, re-tint and re-inspection costs? If not, then STFU.

I *wish* I could do 20%, but I'm not going to go fucking around with my registration (tints here ARE inspected annually with a tint-meter). And I'm not going to go looking for some schmuck to pay-off every year to pass.

Ahhh, yeah, I feel better.

Never got tints when I lived in Cincy, so can't help there. You'll find something and make SURE you get moleskin/felt other-wise you'll have scratches.

Thanks for the input guys. Anyone have any ideas on a good tint shop here? Anyone?

I have had 35 on prior cars but didn't like the hassle I occasionally got when I moved to Cincinnati. Never got a ticket, but know enough people that have. Usually comes with a show compliance in 30 days requirement around here.

20 is too dark for my taste anyway.

You've probably done the Google thing, but since you're not getting an quality responses:

Also do a dealer search at Pinnacle F1 Ceramic. There tints are supposed to be some of the best. Nearest to Cincy looks like Waynesville, which is ok if you're on the north side, otherwise it's a bit of a haul.

Well - I know a couple places that do it, just don't know anyone that's tinted at any of them. I'll just have to try one and see how it goes I guess.

Thanks guys.

If you find a reputable tint shop in Cincinnati, please post it. I have been considering tint but haven't any luck in finding a good shop. Since the tint laws are so strict, there are not many tint shops listed in the local directories. The ones listed don't seem too promising. I'm willing to pay a premium for a really good tint job with moleskin, if I can find a nearby shop.

Cops here are actually pretty laid back in my experience, I’ve been running no front plate and 35% tint for several years now without being ticketed for it. And there are no safety/e-check inspections in Ohio. If there were I’d move lol.

I know a guy that has a shop in Fairfield, he does the showroom cars at Performance Honda/Toyota on Route 4. He was just as anal about my car as I am. And he mentioned to me that if I wanted the entire rear windshield tinted I needed to remove the 3rd brakelight, which I did because it looks so much better. Anyway, I’ll get his info for you if interested.

Spade Kreations in the Mt. Healthy/Fairfield area does a great job, and is reasonably priced as well!
