Hey, I just found out about a place that has a Dyno near here. It is about 40 minutes northwest of Mpls, but it is local, and they have a Dyno.

http://www.hitechmotorsport.com/

Anyone want to see if we can get a group rate?

Also, Dan found a great site, http://forum.mnautox.com

Hey everybody - I have a question for those of you with a house that includes a garage. I just got a full spring/strut set and me and Josh want to attempt the install ourselves, but we both live in apartment buildings and don't have a garage to do the work in. Would somebody here be willing to let us use their garage for 2-4 hours one weekend to do the work? I'd bring beer and/or take the garage-donor out to for drinks and dinner with Josh and myself after all's said and done...pretty please!!!!!!

I'm always down for working on cars. I can't say that I've done anything suspension wise to a car, but I can shoot the shit with the rest of them I guess.

Any idea when you're looking at doing this project? Let me know and I just may have something for ya. Also - what kind of tools will you need? I've got multiple hydrolic jacks (doesn't everybody?....) and a decent set of tools as long as you don't need anything fancy (I bought one of those craftsman 300 some odd tool sets).

I'm in Coon Rapids by the way. I've been meaning to get out for a meet, but things have been so busy for me lately that meeting up for a midnight run just hasn't been my top priority. I would have made it for the photo meet, but I had to work some that afternoon. Which got me thinking too - I work at the wells fargo building (campus) right off 35w and 94. They have a pretty sweet little garden or park - whatever they want to call it. Might make for some good pics. Has a big stepped pond, and some shrubs and wierd pieces of metal art (I think that's what it's supposed to be anyways).

Well - before this post gets way too out of hand, I'm gonna go watch some TV. Let me know though and I definately think it's doable if the timing is right for all of us.

If we can just get access to a garage space that is big enough to fit the car and two people, I have a whole bunch of tools that i could load into the trunk of Dan's car and bring with us. Good hydraulic jacks would be awesome, those scissor type jacks suck the big one.

Coon Rapids isn't that far away, I think I may have been there once. I would guess that Dan wants to get this on as soon as possible, but I know he is out for this weekend, so maybe sometime between now and X-Mas?

I finally woke up. Great pictures Dan! Can't wait to see the drop on the CL, I wish I had a garage to offer.

Got the spoiler on but have postponed the ground effect kit for indefinite time - heading to Canada for a while Finished up installing the IR extender.

Good luck on the project. i really dont have space to lend right now. But speaking as a guy who just did his suspension, lift is a must or good jack stands. i did mine at Audi where i work and it made it so much easier. it only took two of us 1hr45min to do my springs. but it should look good when its done. if you need another hand let me know, (some times the fewer the better though)

Hey Josh/Dan - by any chance do either of you have a laptop that has a serial port on it? (cable would be cool too, but beggers can't be choosers)

I've got to re-flash my receiver for my home, and I don't feel like unplugging everything to bring it upstairs to the PC.

Let me know and if you do, it would be great if it could accompany you to my house on Saturday (still on?)

I'm expecting the guys over for some ball right any minute now but I will PM you both my info sometime later today or in the next couple of days so you have an idea where you'll be going.

As long as you don't have to install anything, or have admin rights on the machine, my work laptop has a serial port on it.

Nah - I don't need to install anything. There is a driver that I need to place on the computer for the install, and I think there is an interface that is installed - but neither should need local admin rights.

Any chance you have a serial cable (not a null modem cable)? Otherwise I will have to track one down to use as well.

Technology is cool and all, but it's kind of a pain in the ass when you have to re-flash your reciever and DVD player when they come out with updates.

Hey, at least you can update your DVD and Receiver! What brand are they BTW?

I have a huge (not kidding) bin full of cables, but I am pretty certain I don't have any serial cables. I will check and make certain. If I don't have one, you want me to pick one up for you at Radio Shack? There is one in Gaviidae that I could stop in to.

You shouldn't have let me know there is a radio shack in Gaviidae you bastard. Now look what you have done - I will have to stop there and risk buying something each time I walk through the skyway.

I might also have a serial cable in my huge box of cables which I will check for.

you should. It's blows my mind, like what are these people thinking - they have a sick ass car, which they could leave bone stock and I would envy, and then they go and rice it out? I don't get it.
