yeah go for it, i'd love to see some MDX show up aha
and if you can, have the mod remake my first post into something like "twin cities is awesome, so post guys"

my driver side headlight looks like it had battery acid spilled on it or something, it's kinda eroded away enough so that you can hook ur fingernail on it. that and it's yellowy, so imma sand it down and buff it over. ive got rubbing compound to last me the rest of my life.
went to nappa's today and they have sandpaper up to 2000. they come in packs of 5 and costs 9 bucks each, i just filled up my tank and dont get paid for another week so i cheaped out and went home

Now that I know where to find it, I'll have to head on over to the Napa on University. I need to do some serious work on the rear bumper or the TL. It looks decent, but feels like crap, I need to smooth it out.

By the way, nice avatar Razzi..

best way for the record guys is not to use sand paper until u have to i recommend gettin your hands on the 3M perfect it buffing compounds they have them in a couple size bottles i believe and they work like magic with a buffer your car will shine like crazy. It also works really awesome on clearing most light scratches on your headlights..... i always recommend using a compound before you start sanding to see if it will come off then step up to the more agressive products...... the buffing compounds take edges of acrylic from just cut hazed out to crystal clear for me

3M, Meguiars and Mothers all have plastic polishing compounds that can be bought at a store that supplies body shops. We just need to find one of those stores...

Welli Auto off of hwy 65. That's where I go for paint and such. They are the only place that I know of in my area. Might have to give them a try if you can't find any place else.

Going way off topic here, but any of you with a 2nd gen TL interested in parts, I have the following off of my old TL-s.

Stock shocks-only about 8k miles on them
Neuspeed exhaust-
19x8 +49mm SSR soveriegns, black with polished lip.
Metra aftermarket radio kit.

Anyways, if any of you guys are interested pm me. I'm in Maple Grove, just off of 94, feel free to stop by and check out the parts. The exhaust and wheels were posted in the Black Market, but never sold.

I like dem wheels too, they'd look pimp on the blue. They'd also look pretty friggin nice on the CLS though.

So what's the verdict, how much for the wheels? And in that one close up of the lip is it bent, or is that an optical illusion?

I've achieved 2 significant milestones today.

First - this is my 100th post on AZ.

Second - I passed my A+ Certification today so I am officially allowed to break peoples shit and then tell them it wasn't me..... must have been Bill Gates' fault.

...... Damn Microsoft.

sure why not they aren't that hard just need to take your time and make sure that you dont swirl the paint lol thats not sexy at all.... i bought the whole 3M perfect it kit for like 350 and that kit can fix anything glass or plastic. so much crap that came with it i had to make 3M send a rep to show me how to use it all

It's not bent, I do have some curb rash on one of the wheels though.

See thread here.

Sure, PM me, and I'll send you my address.
The reason I'm selling is because I got a new Type-S.

i just read through this whole thread and this is something i'd def. like to join in on around the spring time after all my parts are bolted on. my 01 cl-s is garaged at the moment(save money). i travel to st. paul once in a while when there is stuff to do and to visit my friends/family(the GUYS). One night my cuz took me out on a stroll on UNIVERSITY AVE. all i can say is, it is alot better+bigger than what we have here in Appleton, Wi. i'm so glad to have always been an Acura owner...people in this forum are wonderful. i dont post too much, but i'm an addict reader. i'll be keeping tabs on this.

i'm saving money to buy a stockpile of parts. im going hardcore...if i was on my own. i'd be the guy living on ramen noodles in a 3rd world apartment...
whatever i have during spring brake is whats going on...

i have a whole list of of things to get yet(goals).lol
so far, this is what i have stockpiled and waiting for install..while car sits in garage

-XS headers[x]
-Legend coupe calipers[x]
-Thermoblock spacers[x]
-next TIEN basic coilovers, then rims, then cold-air, then etc............

my goals for the build:
car has to be practical
car has to be reliable
get better gas milage
lose weight
black exterior, blue lighting, gold trim/accents....
performance over show

Angels welcome man! You definitely need to come hang with us next time we go cruising over to university if your around. Spring is so far away

Nice list of mods you're waiting to install - I need to get a set of legend calipers at some point, probably when I do my full EBC brake upgrade.

See guys, I get the thread renamed and we get someone from Wisconsin like two days later lol.

Congrats on the 100th post Brian, sorry I missed the day!

My news - finally got my wheels aligned after the drop. Thing was a quarter inch tow-out in front Camber is only 1.5 degrees neg in back and within spec in front. I had them gimme a little extra caster too. She carves now I love it!

hey crew!

well I dont know how i missed this thread. As some of you know i attended the meet this past summer and enjoyed it very much at buerkle.

The reason I feel the need to chat here is that I plan on moving to the twin cities area(burnsville?) and hope to be working for acura/honda soon. I am a mechanic by trade and performance enthusiast by heart.

So I hope if you guys can recommend any good performance shops and.....

a good place to rent. Nice, affordable, and quiet. I am will to travel and not sure i will be working in burnsville. I hope Dave buerkle has a position opened up!

Hope you guys can help and if you want to see the car check my sig!

thanks,
ben

Burnsville is pretty far out there, I know of some nice places in or near Minneapolis though. Only having lived here for a year, and renting 90% of that time, I still have a good idea of what the rental market looks like. Being 22 you might like the Uptown area that is just south west of downtown Minneapolis and is a pretty young area. But, then, you DID mention that you want quiet, so maybe not...

Hit Dan (Underst8) or I up if you are going to be in town and need a tourguide.

We are going to have a brew party in January, me and a few of my friends that want to brew something up. But, even after that, it takes a year for the mead to get tasty, so this batch will be drinkable around this time 2008.
