If you want news on the upcoming TL, it will be there.

And as for manual/auto...It depends on you. I like manual...but, that's just me.

He's a trinidad native and this is not his first language. Haven't seen him around here since the Rockville/214 days. He's cool.

Welcome back Trini.

Trini! What's up bro? Its been a while man. There is no Type S coming out man. Like justn said the AWD TL is the "Type S" version. Hopefully for the next gen they offer a legit "Type S" model on top of the SHAWD one.

^but why?

the type-s badge doesnt really mean anything.

all it matters is if Acura puts out the top best model.
it can be called whatever, as long as its the top trim and more sporty than the base counter part.

The 6MT SH-AWD is that.

"Until now, there are many speculations spread out over the cyber space about this 2013 Acura TL Type S price."

"Now, this Acura TL Type S has the strong demand. So, if you desire to buy this 2013 Acura TL Type S, prepare your budget from now."

*head explodes*

There is trolling and then there are... trolling EMPIRES? WTF IS THIS???

I guess I just expect more from Acura (foolish of me, I know). The SH-AWD TL never wowed me as the 2nd and 3rd gen TL Type S's have. Whats different from the SH-AWD TL vs the FWD one aside from .2 more displacement, SHAWD, and quad vs dual exhaust tips?

^same argument can be had over the 2nd gens and 3rd gens.

lol

whats different other than the .2 displacement?

nothing really.

but going to the 4th gen, they have SH-AWD.
this is BIG!
this changes the driving dynamics!
no more silly high powered fwd vehicle that spins and spins and spins
and spins
and spins
and spins and spins and spins and spins

you get the picture.

Personally, I would love it if the Type R badge came back...with some meaning and difference in performance.

Good point . However, having owned the 2nd gen TLP and TLS I noticed alot of different aesthestic and performance differences. Leather patterns and materials, woodgrain color, grill/headlight/tailight/exhaust/bumper/gauge and interior light color differences in the 3rd gen. I just think Acura put more effort into differentiating the premium and type s models aesthetically as well as peromance-wise with the 2nd and 3rd gen as opposed to the 4th gen. The 4th gen differentiations remind me more of the 3rd gen differences between the TLP and the TL-Aspec.

I do agree with you that the addition of SH-AWD to the 4th gen was and is a huge deal.

I guess I just want/wanted more to distinguish the looks of the two 4th gens.

I'll just settle on a 5th gen SHAWD

the 2014-15 Mustang 5.0 is supposed to have an independent rear suspension, all the bells and whistles, AND the Aston Martin design language. If it does, Ill be jumping ship.
