Alignment for lowered cars

Just got Tein Basics for my 05 TL and I know that I would want to get them aligned after. Where is the best place you guys can recommend?

I have been to Mr. Tire - scratched my rims - NEVER going back.
I have been to Radley Acura - scratched my NEW rims - NEVER going back for suspension/tire service.

So guys, who do you know? I reside in Arlington, VA.
We can expand the thread to post suggested places that Acura owners trust in the area.

Name of place:
Location:
Name of person (who hooked you up):
Price range - if there are any deals:

Thanks!

Got mine done in the Firestone located near Springfield Mall off of Loisdale Rd. They didn't scratch my stuff and I am lowered with no finger gap, I cleared their ramps fine and it took em like an hour to do. I got a lifetime alignment for like $140 which is unlimited alignments for as long as I own my car. They gave me the print out and everything fell into spec for me and I am pleased with their work. I think one time alignment is like 75 or 80 bucks. I got the TPMS installed at the Acura dealership in Chantilly and they scratched my rims, I was not happy about that -_-

Some ppl hate Firestone as they've had bad experiences but I been dealing with Firestone in Springfield and Woodbridge for almost 9 years and never had an issue so sounds like isolated cases to specific shops.

^ Plus one on the lifetime warranty. I would get it if you were lowered.

Don't take poor service and turn the cheek and walk the other way go at there throat with complaints go straight to corporate cause all the mr tire that did it said " they wont' replace yoru wheels.. at best they will return the amount you paid to have the service done." nope.. these kids gave me $ 1800 to cover the cost of service, taxes and the price of the wheels.

I am still waiting for the Tein Basic and will probably drive around to meet the guys you have suggested. I personally want to know the person who is working on my car.

I would/might consider the lifetime alignment because I would eventually put the car to stock height when winter comes.

Just a heads up, I hope you're negotiating with them. Paying $125-$145 for an alignment is a rip off. I was always able to negotiate down to $75 with the argument that I could go down the street and get the same thing done for less.

try PTuning in manassas.

http://www.ptuning.com/html/wheel_alignment.cfm

a lot of 350z guys seem to go there especially since they have an in-ground alignment machine for those that are slammed.

Alignment FAQ:

* Do you offer custom alignments?

Yes, this is our specialty. In fact, many of our customers track their vehicles and require very specific alignment specs. What do you offer for alignments that is different than your standard tire shop? Most tire shops will only adjust the toes. However, since we deal mainly with lowered vehicles, we also adjust the cambers. In addition, we will try to give you a mirror-image of the left and right sides for both cambers and toes. On cars like the S2000, where the factory caster is adjustable, we will also adjust the caster.

* Can you do UK alignment spec for the S2000?
Absolutely. This is our most common alignment request for the S2000.

*Do you offer warranty on alignments?
Since we cater mainly to vehicles with modified suspensions, and many of these vehicles are used for track purposes, we can not offer warranty on alignment on lowered vehicles or vehicles with custom alignment spec.

*Do you charge extra for vehicles with aftermarket camber correction kits?
We only charge extra if the wheels, rear seats, tie-bar, etc. need to be removed to adjust the cambers.

*Will the alignment equipment scratch my wheels?
The only equipment that actually touches the wheels are four-wheel position sensors, which is clamped on the outer lip of the wheel. This will not scratch your wheels.

Alignment and Corner Balancing Rates:

*4 wheel alignment:
$125
*Front wheel alignment:
$85
*Alignment Package:
If you track your car and would like to test out different alignment specs, or simply need an alignment after each track event, you can save money by purchasing our alignment package. The package includes (FOUR) 4-wheel alignments for $400 (reg. $500).* You save $100 off the regular price. All four alignments must be done within 1 year and only for the same vehicle.

*Vehicle w/ ground clearance lower than 5":
* $50 (setup fee). This only applies to about 1% of vehicles that we have aligned.

Corner Balancing
New!: $95/hr. (average time is 2-3 hours per vehicle).

I've used P Tuning to align my lowered SC300 in the past and they have done a great job I just hate the drive from MD to Mannasas. I'm due for another alignment soon and might check out the Laurel BP.
