Up for sale is my MS3 ( Megasquirt ) standalone engine management system for the 04-08 3G TL. This will work with other cars, you will just need to change around the harness. I used this as a piggy back to my stock ECU, but can be used as a full stand alone management system. This was removed from my turbo 06 TL and is in perfect working condition. This would great for some of the Auto cars that can't run hondata, a cheaper alternative to Hondata, or full race car build. This really worked great in my car, I just wanted the newest coolest thing when I did my recent engine build and changed over to Hondata. The harness is for a 6 speed TL, those with auto cars may need to make adjustments to the harness. I opted to install the MS3 under the passenger seat, so the harness is the longer version. The way I used this was as a piggy pack to my stock ecu meaning that I didn't have to do all the things that are required for the switch to Hondata. With the Hondata switch there are additional steps and costs, like buying a new ecu, buying a new harness, repinning the OBD port, and having everything paired to the car. The MS3 does not control the transmission, just the engine. Paid $1500 for it, sellling for $450 shipped OBO. As always let me know if my price is not appropriate, these are super rare and don't come up often so I wasn't sure where to price it.

Hey man, looking to get hondata but I have the 06 Base 6speed also. I seen with hondata with the 06 6speed u need 07 ecu with a new harness. Which is costly. Wondering what does this ECU do? Cause I know what hondata does already. do I have to disconnect my ECU to use the MS3. Sorry not really familiar with the Mega squirt.

The MS3 basically does the same thing the Flash pro, but allows control of boost, nitrous, water methanol injection and other performance items as well. The MS3 is used as a piggyback in the TL, meaning that it works together with the stock ecu. The MS3 controls timing and fuel and other parameters while the stock ecu controls everything else. Basically the MS3 intercepts and modifies signals before they go to the ecu to keep it happy when operating outside of the normal operating parameters, such as higher timing or richer fuel mixtures. Because you are using your stock ecu you don't have to go thru the additional hassle of going to the dealer to have the ecu paired with your immobilizer and car. It is more complicated to setup the tune since you have control over so much and the Hondata is setup for the TL, but will allow control over many more functions.

Hey Hi-Speed, do you know what would need to be done to get it to work with an 05 5AT? I know Swoosh has an MS3 for the 05 5AT and I believe the pin-outs were different?

I think it is just the changing of some pin outs to work with the auto ecu. A few members had auto cars and their harnesses were just wired slightly different. My setup is nice with the spilt in the loom you can easily trace wires back to where the harness connects to the stock ecu and the other way to the MS3.

is this plug and play for a 05 MT and does any tuning software come with it?

The tuning software is called Tuner Studio and needs to be purchased seperately, for about $50. Any tuner who works with the Mega squirt system will have the software, I never bought it since I had the car tuned at a shop. As far as plug and play, I'm not sure since my car is an 06. You would be wise to have a tuner or shop do the install unless you are pretty familure with wiring diagrams and repinning the harness as needed to fit you needs I think the Ecu's are very similar between the 05 and 06 TL and would be pretty easy for a shop to do.
