Throwback to two years ago today, when I drove my 2024 ITS home with 1 mile on it. Yes, that is a NSX Type S in the showroom with my car.
—Mileage check: 13,908 miles as of today
—Overall fuel economy: 21.1 mpg over 13,908 miles.
—Best fuel economy 29.9, worst 17.3
—Oil changes: 2
—Road trip: 1
—Unexpected mechanical issues: 0
—Unexpected cosmetic issues: 2 (prematurely worn CF spoiler, star on windshield, not Acura issue, repaired but still present, planning for windshield replacement)
—I still have my original coolant tank. No leaks as yet, and I asked the dealer to look when I’ve had it in for service.
—still stock, no plans for mods outside of the PPF and tint I’ve already done.
This car essentially replaces my S2000 (sold to procure NSX earlier this year) as my lightweight, manual, fun-to-drive car. I can carry my 6’ son and cart a full set of wheels and tires to the storage bin, which I can’t do in a S2000. If I need a spirited drive to relieve stress from work, I can point this car to one of the few twisty roads in my area and flog it. It’s the best FWD car I’ve ever owned with a close follow by my 3G TL I bought 21 years ago.
Ordinarily, I’m getting tired of my daily driver about now, but it’s staying for a while longer. Not sure what I’d replace it with, to be honest.
Worth the money, and I still don’t care that it doesn’t have a sunroof.

Congrats on the NSX, but not sure I would give up my S2000 to get one. They literally will never make another car with an engine even remotely like the F20C that's in it! I am looking at the Integra to replace my daily driver 2006 TSX (with 6MT). I briefly thought about a TypeS and TypeR, but for my daily I think I'd rather have the better MPG and creature comforts -- especially if we start using it for some family weekend trips. If I didn't have the S2000 then I would have probably already traded my TSX for a TypeS or R. I really wish Acura had better leadership so that the Integra MMC for 2026 included introducing something between the Aspec and TypeS -- especially with the TLX production stopping soon.
Believe me when I say that the S2000 is one of my favorite cars. I have owned two, both of which I sold for NSXs, which are the only cars I’d sell a S2000 for. I’ll probably have a third S2000 in the future, likely a CR or another AP1. You are right, there will never be another F20C powered new car and I’m sad about it.
Even so, life is short and I’m a Honda nerd, so I try a lot of stuff out. The ITS has the few creature comforts I need. Fuel economy is not ideal mostly because work is only 3 miles away, so no little to no time on the highway. For more creature comforts and better fuel economy, sounds like you’d be a candidate for an A-Spec with manual. Those don’t have as much power and the suspension is softer, but are still fun to drive.
Nice to see you’re enjoying the Integra-S. I parked next to a red one just like yours yesterday and chatted briefly with the owner who couldn’t stop praising it.
Not that I’m in the market, but I do wish they would have used, at-least as an option, used the civic-R front seats.
regarding the S2000 -> NSX trade, assuming this was for the 1999 model in your signature, I would have done exactly what you did. Granted I have never driven an NSX, only been behind the wheel of an AP2 s2000.
Enjoy your toys!
