Im new here and am having some issues with my rsx. My car is completely stock with about 185k on it. I drove it about 5 miles on a friday and it ran fine, it sat there until monday and I went to get it and I couldn't get the shifter to move so i pressed the lockout to move the shifter and got it into gear only to find out that it was not actually in gear. so i pulled the codes and it had shift solinoid A-E codes. so have checking fuses im not sure whats wrong with it. im more of a diesel guy. so it sat for a couple weeks and now it goes into gear but its like its in 3rd gear and wont get out of its own way. but now that it sat it has a hard long crank and wont rev up without pooping and crackling and is running extremely rich to the point where it is blowing black smoke. so i put the scanner on it to find out that it says communication error and wont read the codes anymore. it has had the intake manifold code on it since i bought it a couple years ago with 130k on it, i wouldnt think that would be it since it has ran fine for over 50k. if anyone has any insight i would greatly appreciate it. thanks!!

hey what was the cause ? Or did you ever figure out. My base mode is doing the same thing now and I can't figure it out.

 

hey man were you able to figure it out i have the same issue too on my 2006 rsx base im going to try and change the solenoids this weekend and see if that helps
