How to trigger lights with door opening.

I plan on installing some red LED's under the dash and also under the side skirts under the car. I know it's illegal to have them on while driving so I wanted to have them only turn on when I open the door. Is there a place in the fuse box or somewhere else that I can run a 12v wire so that it will only receive juice when the door is opened? I've seen people do this on youtube. It's really coo looking!

Just take the panels off your doors and tap into the wires that run to the door lights. Then if you would like them to come on a fade with the dome light, just tap into the dome light wires and connect them the door light wires. That's how I have mine set up, just look for the door handle DIY, it should tell you everything you need to know.

You can tap into the wires you need also in the drivers side a pillar. IMO its easier to get to, just have to get them out of the loom thing they're in. Just make sure to install an inline fuse.
