Delivery day for my PRP ITS

I took delivery of my PRP ITS tonight, an hour before a major storm came though my area. I can confirm that PS4S tires are awesome in wet weather. Not even a hint of hydroplaning at freeway speed. It started hailing when I got home! Thankfully, just tiny hail, though.

Anyway, PRP looks amazing in the golden hour. My phone can’t fully visualize the flake in the paint. I also got a deal on the illuminated emblem and illuminated door sills. I also bought the CF spoiler. Best part of delivery day? My 17-year-old and I took the car out in Sport+ mode and were giggling like girls at the crack and pops. So awesome! Thanks Jon Rivers and team for delivering such a fun product!

It rained cats and dogs tonight.

Yes, I drove it home with only two miles on it.

Two Type S in the showroom, mine and…maybe someday, mine

Congrats!

Is that an illuminated Acura badge? Which cars can you get them on?

It is an illuminated badge. So far as I know, it's only available on the Integra.

S2000 shifter is better, ITS close to but better and smoother than NSX.

A trifecta of Honda and Acura manual driving goodness, reflected in the license plates. My NSX is a pop-up NA2, but I prefer the plate it already has. The ITS is an ideal daily driver for someone who has either a NSX or S2000 (or like me, both) and wants to have some entertainment with creature features on the drive to work.

As an aside, my 17-year-old son also acquired a manual CR-Z three months ago, so all four Hondacura products in our current stable have manual transmissions.

A couple of comments after 1000 miles:

Likes: the doors have a small pocket just big enough for a 16 ounce bottle of water, or a small drink cup from a fast food restaurant.

I also like that the cup holders are depressed enough that a standard soft drink single serve bottle does not get in the way of shifting.

I like the red accents in the seat.

I like the graphics that appear when the ACC is on, including visuals of traffic in the lanes next to the one I’m traveling in. Cool!

I still don’t like the chiclet steering wheel controls. If there were a way to replace them with the rolling controls of other Acuras, I would change immediately.
