I have all of the 8 sp DCT problems mentioned on the forum. Are there any fixes or do I live with the problems. Apparently the same problems are on the TLX.

 

no fixes the dealers will not even admit the issues. my tranny slammed so hard yesterday when coming to a stop it gave me a head ache from the jolt. the car is plain horrible. just not sure what replace it with and I will probably take a 12k loss. Consumer reports ranks it worst of the worst

 

I love my DCT. I have found that if you lift the throttle when it thinks you should up shift, it will be a harder shift. I think it has to do with lock-up converter. My only annoyance is the quick stop and go in D not knowing which gear it should be in. It always works perfect in S and even rev-matches with down gearing.

 

I'm truly puzzled by some people reporting very harsh jolts with the DCT. Mine doesn't exhibit any of these issues. It does certainly "jolt" a little when I'm slowing down to the stop. But it's not that harsh at all.
