I am having problems with window operation and hope someone can suggest the source of the issues. There are two problems with the first being the key fob no longer opens all the windows with 2 pressings of the unlock button. All other functions of the key fob work properly. I replaced the fob batteries and it made no change. Use of the physical key in the driver's door will not roll down all of the windows as well. The second problem is that both rear windows can not be operated from the driver's door. The front passenger window can be operated from the driver's door, each rear window operates properly from each rear door, and the driver's block button prevents or allows operation of the other windows as it should (except for the stated problem).
All of the windows, including the roof, will work and I checked all fuses listed with power windows so it does not appear to be a fuse problem. There are no other electrical problems throughout the car and these 2 problems have persisted for 6 weeks. Also, as far as I know, these problems did not exist before having the passenger air bag replaced but were present immediately after. The dealer's service department told me they can not imagine anything they may have done to cause these issues.
Any suggestions about the source of these problems is very much appreciated.

 

Never mind. I found an earlier post that suggested a solution to a similar problem and it solved both of my issues. It suggested to reset both rear windows by pushing and holding the down button on the rear door for 5 seconds after the window is down and then the same going up. Did this for both rear windows and everything works as it should.
