hello, I don't really know much about cars or parts, but would like to modify my car a bit. I don't have anything serious in mind. I only want to modify cosmetically for show, not really for performance.
I know you can do things custom and DIY, but don't know where to start and also not that handy in a garage. lol
I've googled lip kits, side skirts, and coilovers out of curiosity but seem to be having a hard time since not many ILXs are modified. My friends think that any Civic parts around the same year should fit because they
believe the cars are the same body type?
As far as lip/side skirts I've only ever come across OEM parts but I don't really like the look of it?
Are there other options? and for coilovers I'm thinking about the Tein Street Basis Z coilovers.
Any recommendations or advice and tips would be greatly appreciated.

 

Not all civic parts fit especially coil overs. You are limited in many departments. Many things are going to have to be custom as far as body aesthetics.

 

If you wanted to modify your car, you should have bought a Civic. The ILX is not a good "blank canvas" to start from.

 

By all means personalize your ride.... I fully encourage it as long as it is still street legal!

There are many mods in this forum some cheaper than others. Some you will like and of course some you will not. I do not have my 2013 ILX Dynamic any longer however I did do a few performance and cosmetic ones (most of which I did myself) you can take look at my old thread:
