Navigation Update DVD

Has anyone updated their navigation with the DVDs from acuranavi.com?
I have a 2016 ILX Tech. Wondering if there's any value to do so. It's $99 for the disc. I have no idea even where the DVD drive is located. Does it just use the CD player slot?

It has updated maps including any roadwork that has been done. Depending on how much you depend on it, it could be worth the update. Yes, it uses the CD player slot.

So I assume no new features. Where I live, it's built out so very rare to have new roads built. Probably not worth it to update.

They have traffic watch available for extra cost with a short sample. I wasn't impressed.

They claim it monitors traffic systems and road work then directs you around back ups. It colors the road with green, yellow, or red depending on conditions. In practice, meh.

AcuraLink provides this info, but you have to pay a subscription. Also, on the 2017 and below ILX, the 3G cellular telematics is being phased out.

I hadn't seen it until the upgrade, so I assumed...

i updated my 16 tech just before it was wrecked. nothing really new, and the process to update it was annoying, like other dude said, unless you live somewhere that has built up alot or changed, not really needed.

sometimes they are on sale tho FYI.
