Convert Navigation to DVD??

Yo all, if I wanted to convert the standard navigation system on a 2001 Acura 3.2CL into a DVD player, what would I need to get? Thanks in advance.

OK I read that whole thread and I guess the pioneer rgb1 is probably the best way to go for DVD playback. One question though for people who have already done this. If I get the AVC-RGB1, to playback movies, do you just put the disc where the acura navigation disc currently is? or do I have to get a dvd player?

You have to get a DVD player. The Acura Navi will not playback a movie DVD.

Best thing to do is get a PlayStation 2 so you have a DVD player and game system in one..

hmm that's kinda wierd. Guess i have to find like a very tiny dvd player so it doesn't take up tons of space! Guess the trunk wouldn't be suitable since the remote can't work.

ok cool. Now the audio and video both are going to go into the pioneer RGB1 which in turn plugs into the navigation system, so does the navigation turn off when the dvd player is turned off? or does it run in the background?

You can't run them both at the same time.
