45 offset. Yes both will WORK.
Flush? No idea no one has run spacers yet.

Debating between spacers or saving for new wheels now. Only issue with spacers are the tires are still narrow as fuck.

And flush is more a term than a precise measurement.
8in wheel with 20 offset may be flush where as a 9in with 20 offset and -5 cambet is flush.
Buy the smaller one see if it fits the front. If not throw it in the rear and buy a 15mm for the front.

due to the fact that the wheel is so narrow at 7 inches and its a 45 offset i dont think 25mm should be a problem in the rear. the wheels are pretty tucked in stock. if anything ill sell them and put the narrower ones (20mm) in the rear like u said.

I believe it's actually 17x7 +48

And, I am sure those spacers would fit but I can't see how that much is safe.. Maybe I am wrong but I feel like there is some sort of negative affect there.

48 seems right. I got 45 from another user. 40-50 is a good answer.

Is the spacers use new studs pressed in to secure the wheel and existing studs to secure the spacer youre fine. Just need the proper bore diameter.

If the spacer is just the disk with holes its not safe in my opinion to run stock studs.

The stock ILX premium wheels are +45 Offset. The wheels have +45 stamped on the underside of one of the spokes. It also has 17X7 stamped on another spoke.

Well there ya go. Regardless. 40, 45, 50... all the same to me.. weak. Im hoping to go as low as 20 with a new set of wheels. But function for some reason is winning over form in my mind so I may end up with 45 if I can find some 9.5in wheels I want.

Thanks all. I almost bought some 04-05 TSX stockies but they run +55. I was looking for a lower offset wheel. Knowing that our stocks are somewhere from +45-50, I'll prob look into +40-48 17x8 wheels.

Spacer Experience

Here's some pics with Enkei 18x8 pf01's (with a 45 offset) before and after wheel spacers. 15mm up front and 19mm in back. I would not suggest going much
more, these are almost perfect. Could probably do something like 18mm front and 22mm back if you want super flush tires - rim will stick out if there anything like these though.

Hey thanks for the pics helps a lot for my future mods man. There is another thread where a guy used 20mm spacers front and back on stock wheels. I have chromed stocks and VIP interior and I'm waiting on more available options / looks / people doing the guinea pigging themselves before I mess with the suspension / stance / fitment. Ha today I got test fitted for window visors and dude was like "your car looks good. BUT YOU NEED A DROP!" ha got called out I guess… well like I said I think it will be more of a finishing touch for me.

Just gonna list my mods so far. Exterior I have OEM chrome wheels / lug nuts, chrome door edge guard, chrome door pillars, and chrome bodyside molding. I have the rear roof spoiler painted black to match the car. I have 3m tint on all windows including windshield and also limo strip at top. White LED license plate lights. Junction Produce interior I have the following; teal fusa, silver tsuna, front seats have seat belt covers, black (with black stitching) neck pillows, black hip pads and black satin cushion pillows. Back seats have 3 black on black neck pillows, 3 satin cushion pillows, 2 leather square pillows, 1 half leather pillow (center). Black small size curtains front and back. Black tissue box. Front footwells are blue LED's, back dome light is blue led, I think my glovebox light is dead, trunk is white LED. OEM trunk-liner and white LED doorsill plates. Both front passenger air conditioner vents have Laxee King blue LED light up mini VIP tables. Have 2012 and up Civic moonroof visor - may actually mount it right now. Waiting on; 2 more Laxee King tables (will be mounted on front doors), JP steering wheel cover size small, JP dashboard cover. Going to order - JP vip fragrance, JP windshield sticker. Also got test fitted for both a bolt on exhaust and door visors so those are a couple / few months away. Also at some point I'll throw on an intake, but no rush, may get test fitted for that and then free after. After that, I will work on stance and then mostly done. I have stickers on back windshield that add at least 15 HP to the wheels too. 3 military medals hanging from my 300mm blue tinted convex Broadway mirror.I think thats most of it… may have left stuff out.

Sorry to bring up an old thread but how sure are we about the stock offset of our wheels? Reason I ask is because I took off my wheel and it says 17x7J 40, I'm assuming the 40 is offset?

Acura Part # 42700TX6A71 is the OEM 17x7 2013-2015 Acura ILX wheel. Offset is 40. You are correct, not sure why everyone thinks 45 offset....

LOL!!! too funny

Really who the fuck cares. I didnt need to know the stock offset to make a wheel purchase. 9 out of 10 people that asking about fitment because they want to go flush never get near flush.

Our wheels are 17x7 +40 offset. a 25mm spacer will make the wheels sit flush. Lowered or not the car will not rub.

i actually do care because i like to use this site Rim & Tire Size Calculator. Custom Offsets - Wheel-Size.com and in order for me to use this, it helps to have the correct stock wheel set up when comparing to an aftermarket set up i'd like to use. you probably didn't need to know what your stock offset to make your wheel purchase but i'm sure I'm not the only person that wanted to know the exact stock wheel set up.

You missed my point. I'm saying it frankly doesn't matter if it is 35 40 or 45 as if it is off it will only be off by 5mm and no one goes so flush that 5mm makes a difference. Maybe 1 out of 10 do and for that 1 it matters.
But for everyone else just buy something around 8 to 9in wide with 35 to 45 offset and you're perfect.

I can only laugh when people who don't know cars want to go "flush". You aren't going flush without some time money and trial and error.

35 et 40 et 45 et... It's all the same when no one is running anything overly aggressive. Right now there are maybe 3 ilx owners where 5mm matters. The rest could add 10mm positive or negative and they probably wouldn't even notice.

I'm just saying it's not that important.
