Saw something on top of windshield, want to know what it is

Hi everyone,
While doing hardwiring for dash cam I saw some wire running over the side airbags which is not good. Seems like unprofessional install. It is connected to a black horizontal device of some sort on middle very top of windshield. What is that thing? I am attaching photo
I got the car used so don't know if this is factory or installed by someone afterwards

Agreed - doesn't look OEM. My daughter bought her CR-V used and it has an 3rd party remote start antennae at the top of her windshield as well but it is much smaller.

Yeah. Thanks! It seems to be an antenna for remote start. The remote start is separately installed it seems but it is acura remote start and not aftermarket. I don't know why they didn't run the wiring with proper method

That seems especially odd that it is an Acura remote start and not installed correctly. Maybe prior owner bought the OEM parts and DIY’d it???
