ILX 2016 Tech Package Owner, car is always housed in garage and yet succumbing to headlight oxidation. I have tried the toothpaste, the baking soda and not seeing much of a difference. I have tried the harsh chemical kits with our Honda Accord 2003 which was more hassle than solution.
Curious if anyone wants to share want works best for removing oxidation (even if temporary for 6 months). Going to sound lazy but don't really want to sand and apply UV protectant as that appears to be the long-term option.

You are looking for a low labor 'short-cut' solution '...(even if temporary for 6 months)' for a chronic problem, lol!
Don't be lazy and do it right by utilizing critical thinking skills and the great information in the video below:
I always wet sand them with 1500 then 2000 grit sandpaper then buff them out with 3M buffing compound for 1500 grits scratches or finer. I have been doing this process on all of cars including this one currently. Accord, Fusion, Prelude, Camry, Ilx, and other peoples cars.
