I have yet to see a modded ILX in person minus Dmitri (sp) when he came by the shooting range.

When ever I see stock ILXs I drive by all slow and they dont even look. LOL. Most of the time its someone older than me. Probably doesnt care.

most ilx's Iv seen on the road didnt seem to notice me at all... although twice I ran into the same black ILX driven by a middle aged asian male, and dude was like "whoa!" literally made the face and stuff LOL. About a week ago a blue ILX with a middle aged asian female driver definitely was looking at my car (she parked like 1 car over), but her face was just expressionless, pretty sure she was unimpressed. It's weird, I think most of the ILX drivers I met/ were not even part of the "intended" demographic for this car - Young (mostly)single males trying to step up to first nice car/job, new professionals, recent college grads, people along those lines. I think most I've seen were actually middle aged to older, harder to tell about the other stuff in passing.

Seems to me I see older guys driving them.
Civic owners tend to look as well as luxury car owners. I assume the civic guys are looking at it seeing their car looking pretty and the German lux guys some are impressed others probably scoff at us.

Yeah same experience here - its the middle-aged dudes that like my car a lot. The younger guys are more into Civic SI's, if they are looking at my ILX It's because I'm getting a million comparisons to an SI. The older guys like the sporty look, yet basic refinement and economy factors. Like I said, the intended demographic kinda missed the mark. I think middle-aged dudes, from various backgrounds, are buying it the most at this point.

yeah haha but they're not even hot young chicks, or else that'd be awesome. Easy icebreaker to talk to a girl - "Hey I got an ILX too!"

lol Nice.

Mind some more constructive criticism?
If you edit your shots it would go a long way if you tilted it so that the car roof is level so the headlights look level as well. Looks like the car is leaning to the right like one of those cholos. hahaha After tilting it just crop it a little so that you dont have white spaces where you tilted the image. Some phone edited apps when tilting auto zoom so that your edges are already perfect.

Hows the ride? Feel any harsher with the 19s?

Ive seen 2 or 3 19s that actually looked really good in the right picture.

But from the rear more often than not they look HUGE. Rear end of this was doesn't house big wheels properly in my opinion.

18s that look like 19s seems to be perfect. haha

^ damn, looking forward to that! Are you cutting the bumper yourself?
I had a 3" megapower rr on my FG2 and they are freaking loud. I actually got a ticket from it being too loud.

One of the reasons I'm not complaining about getting a 2.5 inch exhaust for free soon. Young guy in a loud car =unwanted police attention/tickets.

Cutting the catback? Instead of just cutting out some of the mid section?

And be carefully where you place your exhaust tip so you don't melt the bumper.

Yes be careful - my Bumper is melting pretty bad. I'm cutting it so I don't care too much right now but just an FYI

ill do wut ever it takes to not cut the bumper but i mean if its not possible then have no choice right> do u have ne pics of ur bumper with your muffler.. can u take ne and possibly get a rough measurement from exhaust tip to beginning of bumper

So right now I replaced the muffler and resonator but the exhaust tip is still where is was from factory (or really close to it). I imagine the larger Downpipe and less restrictive muffler has made the air Hotter coming out. If I was you I would push the exhaust tip back another inch or so and maybe even tilt it more downward
