Wheels are definitely a better route to take!!
And you'd be surprised how many people are rocking the sti lip that don't visit the forums. I've seen 3 sets of bbs lm reps on instagram but none on here. Wtf

Going to make the rear tails completely red?

My lip is a rep too. 50$ off ebay. I think it's the oem lip above it. I had to bolt it up slightly different the second time around with the oem lip.

I like 5 spoke a lot but I would recommend something that looks dramatically different from the stock wheels. I was thinking going 5 spoke too... but Ive seen a few on on here and I think they just looked to similar to stock. Especially if you get that finish. Get a different finish at the least.

We've seen both on the TSX and TL and they looked decent. If Vossen is the way you want to go than go for it!

i looked up both wheels - id say cv3 just different finish. Are you gonna go staggered as well? the cv3 i think looks pretty nice with the concave going.

Whoa thats crazy I was gonna suggest those too cuz I saw them online and they look great. I can definitely understand your 18 inch wheel decision. I really want 19's tho. But practical drivability does beat out purely looks. You guys have harsh winters in Canada. Gotta do what makes sense. Very excited to see these on your car.

Specs sound good!!
Good luck when it's time for tire rotation. Will you have someone unmount the tires to rotate them or just never do a rotation?

Can't wait for pics!!

Lol... Rotation with staggered wheels are just swapping sides unless you have directional tires then you'd have to dismount. (Front left goes to front right and left rear goes to right rear) I work at Americas tires.

Well with our cars being heavier in the front and being FWD we will see more of a difference in wear front to back than side to side.

Both is ideal but if only one can be done front to back is the better of the two.

Side to side alone will only avoid minimal uneven wear.

I've been looking to other wheels because of this. But you already made you purchase and they are going to look SICK in comparison to a square set.

Any pics yet?!

WoW man that looks great!. Im really into details, the black on the wheels matches the color of your car so well, and it also makes the spokes "pop" a lot more. Kind of reminds me of the TSX special edition (my best friend has one). The wheels are the same as the regular TSX, it's just the spokes have a different finish where some are darker and some are lighter. That simple finish change makes a big difference. Great choice man. Making the ILX look good dude! I like how it looks that low too, but man I couldn't do that. I hate speed bumps, potholes, and scraping when I have passengers, I get pissed. HAHA. People get all back seat driver on me - "OMFG! -What that was that?! OMG are we gonna die?!" Then I have to give the same speech everytime... "The car is lowered, the underbody scrapes a lil' on big speedbumps and stuff..." "OMG!? Why would you do that?!" .... anyway It just gets too annoying after a while... Thing is I always have random people in my car because I'm in the Marine Corps (picking up/dropping off Marines), or dating different girls. Kinda hard to tell someone to stop bitching when they outrank you, or if you're trying to get some pussy...

Looking good.

Next time you go to take some pictures Ive got a couple small tips to make these easier to enjoy..

1. Stand back a little and get the car centered. (shot 4 is the best just center it a little)
2. Hold your phone at chest or waste height and hold it straight up and down.
3. Don't use a flash. It distorts your reflectors.

Best time of day for photos is 4-6 while the sun is setting and not as harsh or while the sun is rising before it starts to glare. Overcast weather is great as well.

I just use my phone now a days. Really easy and most smart phones have an HID mode which helps a lot with light and dark areas.

If you could go back in time would you have gotten wider tires or are you one of these new school guys that like the rim poke look? Can't tell from the pics if the fronts show as much. I'm sort of indifferent, doesn't look bad to me was just curious if you knew that before you purchased/installed. Also are you going to throw some spacers or going tucked look? Looking good man

the setup im running is actually comfortable and if i went wider on my tires wen i hit a bump it would rub and my rear fenders are rolled so with the drop i have i cant run ne thing above what im running now so to answer your question no i wouldnt change my setup i love the slight poke... and spacers.. there are no room for spacers..

.. i took a good look n yes i guess there is room for spacers maybe 5mm the gap between my rim and the inside of the fender is soooo minimal and my rears are soft so there is some travel so no spacers for me..call me old skool

What are peanut bulbs? Your corner lamp bulbs?

And pictures are looking way better with the full car in the shot.

Are you taking pictures with a smart phone?

And I love the STI lip on there. Sets you apart from the dude that just threw some stance sc5s on his white kitted ILX.
