Cool Places to get mods for your ilx

These are some websites where i got alot of my mods and hopefully this will help all the ilx owners out..but keep in mind that alot of 12-14 civic si parts will
fit your ilx if you have the 2.4l

1.Import Parts Source at PRO Import Tuners
2.2013+ Acura ILX - Axion Industries
3.Acura - 2012+ Acura ILX - CorSport

the only thing I got off ebay was my rear window spoiler for 69.99 and my h11 leds for my fog lights..

I'm sure everyone appreciates the info.

What have you done to your ilx so far?

helpful thanks.

12-14 si parts from the coupe or sedan? Reason is I believe the eibach front and rear sway bars have the same part # as the si Coupe.

Also I'd get the progress rear 22mm sway bar and not the eibach since the eibach rear is kinda small at 19mm

Wait - what? Isn't the full race header a cat delete? Why would you need a magnaflow cat? Also, the supercharger will not work with the cold air intake....

had the cold air before the sc came in to mind and it will be tooking off and up for sale soon and in ohio u need a cat for emissions if not then u have no hard tags..this aint my first setup I have done. and full race offer 2 headers one with cat the other will out.i have the one without and the magnaflow cat then dc catback which i found u dont need to cut the bumper for the muffler it aim downward like stock exhaust..

Yea I was the test car for the DC exhaust. Its nice. You'll see a nice difference with the header. It might still melt some small parts on the underside mine melted off a tiny piece of the bumper, but its not visible to the naked eye, id have to stoop down and point it out. My mechanic told me the Skunk2 Megapower and another exhaust too, cant remember right now which one it was... it melts shit like crazy under the car. theses exhuasts just bolt up very close to the car and it gets hot and melts/kinda warps the plastic shit. Nothing important or whatever, just the under panels and stuff that is touching kinda shapes around it. Not super noticeable - but the megapower requires bumper cutting and its 3 inch, so it rubs more then the DC with 2.5 piping and J tip (the tip is still visible and it says DC Sports on it)... I dont know anyone else thats bought that exhaust yet, its the only one I know of thats made specifically for our car.
I guess your smog laws are just a lot different then. In California you cant mess with the cat at all, an aftermarket high flow cat is still illegal. So eventually to pass smog ill just swap in the stock downpipe, pass smog, then swap the header back in. Luckily, on this car, it would probably pass visual inspection, so if someone else risks it and passes... I might risk it too. Depends what else Ive done to the car by then tho.

Take pics once you got it installed. The DC catback directly hooked up to the skunk2 header... I wonder how that Magnaflow and header will look...

Did you look at the CompTech Engineering Supercharger at all? I think with that one you actually may be able to keep your intake. If I ever do SC, based on whats available, I think I would try them out. Also Ive met the Axion Industries guy before, he works out of his house - he has a small garage with EVERYTHING. I didnt use him as a mech tho, he's a bit pricey, knows his stuff tho. I just didnt need anything crazy done yet, so went with other shops I know and trust, except one I tried out was a big miss on customer service.

Comptech is CARB legal in California and 50 state legal, if that affects your build plans. Whats wrong with eaton style SC?

Either way you go, you may have noise issues like clunking and such that some have complained about on their stock ILX's. I had this issue, I had to retighten everything, and it got much better, but every once in a while I do hear it. I got use to it, don't care, but my sister is a backseat driver and freaks out. I had ZERO clunking noise prior to rear sway bar install and suspension bar installs. I read a few other people's builds and a few also said they got noises, but most said that it settled after.
