New ILX owner 2.4L Premium
Hey, new owner of a Crystal Black Pearl 2.4L Premium ILX that I got on 4/15/14.
I got this in place of the 2011 Graphite Luster TSX Tech 4cyl auto I had since new as well. I've had many Honda/Acura's, currently I have the ILX now and a 2007 Odyssey Touring RES/Nav. I'm an Acura mastertech at Acura of Pembroke Pines in South Florida.
The ILX has the OEM underbody lip kit and decklid spoiler, as well as 19x8.5 Vossen CV7's wrapped in 235/35/19 Nitto Invo's. It's lowered on Eibach Sportline springs.
My Odyssey(won 2nd place at HondaDay Orlando last year):
Some of my old cars(most recent to oldest):
2011 TSX tech 4cyl auto
2007 Civic Si sedan(my favorite car I've owned)
93oct tune vs e85 tune
11.7@118
2010 TSX base 4 cyl auto
1994 Integra GSR sedan, bought stock, ended up with a 200+whp built LS/VTEC and ITR trans
1992 Integra GS(auto LS, converted to manual B20) and 1991 Civic Std
My first car/Honda was a 1993 Civic DX hatchback that I don;t have any pics of.

Don't think I'll do too much to the ilx, one of the reasons I got away from my civic was to stop spending so much money, but was getting bored of the auto tsx, wanted something more fun to drive. The one thing I do want eventually is Flashpro and a tune. The vossen are +32.

Welcome aboard! As an Acura master Tech, what is your take on the clunking rear shocks on this car? Mine has 14 K on it and rides like a truck. Looks like there are many others. Your input will be appreciated!

As far as the rear shocks go, I've seen several with this issue, all that have been dealt with replacement under warranty. The 2013-14 RDX's actually are the same way, many with bad rear shocks as well.

So was it a bad batch of rear shocks? Is it another component prematurely wearing the shocks?
Because we've had one user get their shocks replaced and the sound came back... meaning it was either replaced with bad shocks or the problem is elsewhere.
