Hi I'm New to this,

I need help opening my Acura 2015 ilx the battery is completely dead. I bought a lockout kit to see if I can reach and open the car by unlocking it through that way but I'm not able to reach it because the tools given are too short. Also the key fob spare key is not opening the car door either. Does someone have any ideas on how to get into the car other then calling AAA or a locksmith.

Is the "key fob spare key" turning in the lock? If so, the key is fine. The rod that goes from the lock cylinder to the lock mechanism in the door is not connected. I just fixed this on my car yesterday, I should have taken some pics....

 

It is possible the key in the key fob is slightly bent (this happened to me once) you can correct it and use it to open the door. Or try using your second key set. Paulcet is correct, you should be able to open the door without power. Then get to your trunk release which is a cable (again not electric).
