Hi - new to the TSX family, but had a few Acuras over the years. We just got a '13 TSX Wagon and so far we love it. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions over the coming weeks, but my immediate need is some help with my key fob.

The car came with two keys (Driver 1 and Driver 2). Driver 2 works fine, but Driver 1 only worked when very close to the car (a few feet or less) and sometimes not at all. Seemed like an obvious case of dead battery, so I replaced it. With the new battery, it doesn't seem to work at all, and when I start the car (thinking I maybe needed to re-pair it or something) I get the "welcome Driver 2" screen. It seems the key is very confused.

Any immediate thoughts on this?

Alright I'm an idiot, I guess the new battery I got was junk.

 

A lot of the button batteries out there are crap. I buy them by the dozen off ebay, and expect them to fail fast. Usually fail faster, and a higher dud rate than buying them elsewhere, but not 5x faster or 5x higher.
