My Three Month Report

http://www.satoauto.com/acura-cars/2...acura-ilx.html

I think I've stated much of this in various posts, but here are my thoughts after 3 months of ownership.

Colin, Im glad you came to appreciate the convencine of the keyless entry. Now if you have any input with Acura, please tell them to keep the folding rear seat on the TLX ! :-)

Haha, not sure if we'll see that (no TL has ever had that feature) but it would be nice.

A great read, Colin - I agreed with your assessment (both of highs and lows). Sounds like overall you're enjoying the car.

Read your review Colin. I was wondering when you were going to add to your blog. Good read.

Well done Colin! I'm looking into a retrofit for lumbar support. Will advise what I learn!

BTW, I have a few pages (somewhere) on how the seat disassembles. Let me know if you think it would be helpful.

Great writeup! I agree that memory seats should be included on every car with power seats. Not sure why this feature was omitted.

We all know you need something new every year. It's the 'consumer' cycle/mentality. If they added it this year, they'd need something 'else' new next year.

Thanks for this. No memory seats either? I'm debating between the ILX or TSX, and all signs are pointing to TSX. I like the look of the ILX, but it seems so many features are lacking.

Nice writeup. Memory seats indeed would be nice, but my '00 TL doesn't have them either, so I'm used to it.
I'm the only one that drives it, so they don't get adjusted (wife thinks it's "a boat", compared to her Civic). And, the driver's recline hasn't worked since I got it, luckily it's stuck in a comfortable position.

TSX lacks push button start if that is any issue

I thought the TSX had it... but good to know. It's a "nice to have" feature, not an absolute "must have". The memory seats is much more helpful, since the wife would be driving the car as well.

I moved from the 2012 tsx to the ilx. I prefer the Hands Free Link on the TSX and I really like having memory seats. But, other than that, I feel as though the ilx is superior in terms of technology, gas mileage, accerlation, after market support, aesthetics, and ease of parking

For Me:
TSX:
+Space
+Steering
+Suspension
+Home Link
+Dual Exhaust

ILX:
+Size
+Lighter
+Styling
+ *Most* interior pieces (look/feel)
+Customization (still limited)
+Fun factor

Conventionally.. for me the TSX would win but as a car I like to drive on the reg.. the ILX actually wins, for me.

Thanks for the advice. Hands down for the 2.4. But I need automatic... I'm still not crazy about the price of the ILX though. If you add the extra cost for an automatic, the 2.4 ILX would cost more than a TSX.

Are you comparing this to the ILX 2.0 or 2.4?

Thanks.

Sorry, ILX 2.4 MT vs TSX 2.4 MT

I only test drove the 2.0 once.
Though the Tech features... >>>
