Ideal Wheel Size and Type for ILX?

I'm just wondering if there are strong opinions out there regarding the optimal wheel size (tire size too, i suppose) and style for the ILX?

I bought 17x7 aftermarket wheels two weeks after purchasing my ILX… Found that they were too small and wanted a different style, so I bought 18x7.5 (225/40) this year and it looks much better. Apparently you can go up to 19 inches on the ILX…

I guess I'm more curious about style. I went with black with a machined face:

I am planning on buying a Bellanova White ILX 6spd within the next month. I have 18x7.5 Enkie EDR9, EKM3, and Lusso(Hyper Silver w/Machined Lip) sitting in my TireRack wish list. I'm not sure which set of wheels I'll end up buying but I don't think I can go wrong with these 3 different styles.

Wheels look pretty good. Got a full shot of the car with the wheels? Personally I would think 18in is good for style without sacrificing that much comfort.

Of the 3, I would go with the EKM3, but it depends on the look you're going for… In my opinion, the EDR9 seems sportier, whereas the EKM3 maintains more of the luxurious look.

In my opinion 18x8.5 with a +30 offset would be perfect. it fits flush with the fender, but does not rub even if lowered. you can fit a 225/40/18 tire to protect the rim as well. Volk CE28n come in that size.

I day this just so op doesn't go out and buy that exact set up and say it's not flush.

When weever lower the cars we have natural camber. So one wheel size on a stock height will not be flush with the same wheel 2 inches lowered. The lower you go the more the top of the wheel will tuck in. So a wheel that pokes at stock height can tuck when lowered enough.

It's all really guess and check unless you copy someone's set up spec for spec... wheel, tire, and suspension.
