2015 ilx base 2.0L automatic trans

Correct me if wrong but to check the trans fluid you need to warm up the car until the cooling fans turn on twice then turn the car off for 1 min then check the trans fluid lvl. Is this correct? Or can i just drive the car as normal park for a minute then check? I would like something from the officially from acura or from the owners manual if anyone knows.... couldn't find anything.....

it's basically the same process...
when you drive it around the block, the cooling fans come on..
