Do you leave the car on to check the transmisson fluid or off??

 

I think i read some where in the manual that you leave it on, then turn if off and check immediately within a minute or something.........from what i recall.

 

Fatty is right-- according to the manual-- I think page 318...your car should be in normal operating temperature park the car level, and shut the car off...and check within 30 seconds.
This is the only car I know that does that...the dipstick also doesn't have a "hot" or "cold" side...most cars are check warm...but the way the fans are so close to the tranny dipstick-- not sure if the honda engineers figure someone could lose their fingers.
