Aftermarket Parts for 2016 ILX???!!!
Can anyone tell me of any sites that sell aftermarket parts for the 2016 ILX? I found stuff on CARiD.com - Auto Parts & Accessories | Car, Truck, SUV, Jeep but it really only has things up to the 2015 model.
I really am looking for two things right now so maybe someone could help me out. A blacked out grill for my Acura and also a carbon fiber lip on the front. I'm about to tint my windows so I will post a pic soon but I really am in search of those two items next.
My a new exhaust soon as well???
Any help would be great guys and gals

No carbon fiber lip has been made for either model years.
No front lip has been made period aside from the oem front lip. Ebay or acura dealerships if you want that front lip.
If you check out my build thread i threw an sti lip on my 13 ilx. A few other owners have done the same with varying results. You can give that a try. 2006 sti lip... I used 2005 but some claim the 05 is less curved.
As well. No comapny has made an aftermarket grill for either model years. Anyone with a black grill is uaing plastidip or wrap. Cf grills are using cf wraps. I highly suggest going with a wrap and not plastidip.
Sadly you are not going to find performance parts for your ilx very soon. It took a while before we saw 2013 ilx parts and majority of those are for the civic with the same engine/ suspension. With all the changes the 2016 ilx has taken we dont know which parts will work. Youll have to wait for a true tuner to grab the new ilx and start throwing money at it to see what works.
So far all i have seen are coilovers on chan_mikes ilx he is building for his dealership. His thread is in the photograph section. Check thay out as it is the nicest and only moded 16 so far.

Thanks for that info usdmJON. By the way, I love what you done to your ACURA. Anyways, I'm getting my windows tinted very dark on May 31st and my car is black so I will def post pictures once completed.
Any certain coilover out right now on the market that I could get my hands on or only the ones that chan_mikes has?

No worries mate.
I dont own '16 so I have never searched. But I would assume that those would be the only WORTH WHILE coilovers. Megan or Skunk2 may have something soon if not already. But I would suggest following Mike's lead as he know's what he's doing.
I have ISC. While I love the product; I can't stand the company anymore and their customer service is simply atrocious. I do not suggest ISC if they develope coilovers for the '16 ILX.

I've been doing work on my own 16' ILX ASpec as well.
Been thinking of redoing/making a new intake to emulate the snorkeling CT-Engineering IceBox design.
Exhaust already sounds good, but I don't believe there's any tuning options yet, especially with all the interplay between the engine, the DBW and DCT.
I'm going to experiment with removing the resonator box, redoing the plastic piping with larger 3.5" OD composite and a J bend on the bottom to mount up the the front fog/air dam. All
Modifications before the air filter (with a drop in) so as to not upset the MAF to much.

Thmanx that looks sick bro. I love the carbon fiber on the front bumper. I have been looking for something like at and different lips.
Btw how do you like the A-Spec stock 18 inch rims? I know some people are not a fan of them but I really like them with this car. Especially mine since I got black and soon to be tinting my windows.

That front lip is the oem one i mentioned not real cf but looks great still.
Thmanx, so what did yy do to the intake? You said drop in? Did you also do work on the intake res or you said you want to?
Love that blue.

There is a lot of space to work with under the bumper, especially once you remove the driver-side fog/Airdam.
I think I can make an intake kit 2 ways.
One is a super budget version, only modifying the section AFTER the resonator.
I'd use a J bend/Funnel to snorkel air from the front scoop, and run the air through the OEM resonator-piping-filter-intaketube-throttlebody.
(should avoid any weird MAF problems that way i think)
---
The other is a more comprehensive system, would replace the entire OEM lower resonator box portion with 3.5" composite piping, running as direct a line I can from the bottom of the Air-Filter box, down through the bumper and J-Turn again at the fog scoop.
Both setups would use a K&N/Unifilter reusable filter element as well.
My idea is to have a ram-air effect at speed, so the entire intake system from Throttle plate to intake snorkel is slightly pressurized at speed. Making throttle response snappier and always having fresh-cold air in the entire intake charge.
This more free-flowing approach may be to much for the factory computer to handle though as it may cause the MAF to freq.
This is the same setup I use on my 00 Civic, though its Cable throttle & EFI system can take advantage of this layout much easier, especially through mild ECU tuning.
I've don't multiple intake charge temperature tests (hot-cold day, day-night, fast slow driving, hood open-hood closed etc), and this style of direct funnel/ram-air intake has consistently outperformed any other short or long tube style intake system we've tested to-date.

I really like them actually, and they are rather quiet when it comes to wind noise at speed.
Only thing I think I'll eventually do is space them out with a 20mm Eibach pro spacer, and perhaps some slightly wider rubber on them in a few years.

Engine Air Filter
I know this thread hasn't had activity for a while. I am located in Toronto Canada and can't find a replacement engine air filter for the 2016 Acura ILX. Looks like only the dealer sells it as I can't find it anywhere else or even online. I don't want to pay the expensive dealer price for parts. Has anyone been able to find the air filter? Just looking for a paper filter, not the K&N washable filter.

Aftermarket parts search
Hi,
the topic is old, however I didn’t find a reliable source of parts.
Any recommendations? Also, maybe there is anyone who sales used parts?
Need some stuff to replace a whole front of my ILX 2017.
