What were your experiences when ordering online from someone like Crutchfield or Amazon? This is looking very tempting for $1699 with free shipping and no sales tax.

I have purchased tires, DVD player, stereo receiver, speakers and tape players online, but I don't know about a TV.

 

I got this very same tv on amazon on March 15,2009 for 1300

I like the tv so far, but i think i may have a cloudin issue, not sure thou.

The delivery experience was great. White Glove service by CEVA. They set it up for you, take the time to actually let you inspect for damages, visual defects, etc.

Bought mine online at Newegg and was quite pleased with the process. Although I did have to take a day off work because of the delivery window.

 

Bought my latest TV from amazon. Zero issues.

 

I've purchased most of my home theatre electronics online...including the TV.

Shipping problems/damage can occur from a local store itself or to your house.
Only difference is, you can go back to the store to get the problem taken care of. With a online purchase, you got to ship it back.

After hearing the crappy speakers on the new XBR9 the XBR7 was sold! Now if standoutdesigns.com will just get the stand here soon.
