Thinking about getting this display

I'm thinking about getting this display...

http://www.circuitcity.com/rpsm/oid/...Detail.do#tabs

Polaroid 26" Widescreen LCD HDTV Monitor

It's going to be hooked up to my Sony PC. But, the Sony PC has a TV card so I have my comcast cable connected to it, (cable box is connected to PC), and I'm running XP Media Center edition. I was thinking that I could split the cable connection and go directly into the TV for watching strictly TV, and watch my recorded programs from the PC to the monitor. I would also use my PC as the DVD player for this display. Any reason why I shouldn't get it?

Why not just use the LCD for Television? Pay a little extra montly you get the HDTV channels.

I currently use my 50" sony LCD for browsing the web, watching HD broadcasts (make sure you get the off air HD antenna), and watching DVD's. Heck I was playing battlefield 2 and GTR on my 50" !!!

Ive got to admit, I use my television for watching sports, news, and movies most of the time. Rarely do I hook up the laptop with wireless keyboard and mouse, unless im super lazy to walk into my office.

This is for my bedroom, where my desktop is, and I usually watch TV as well... for real entertainment I have a 60" Sony LCD HDTV.

I won't be watching HD signals on this thing.

I would be willing to spend more $$$ or even go bigger... some of the larger TVs that take PC inputs still have the RGB 15 connector, I want to use DVI

Ahhh I was wondering if you had a super small house or it was just for a certain room.

Id say go for it!!!

My 19'' viewsonic crt is getting old and Im looking to get a much larger screen but with the same quality picture.

How do the LCD compare with the CRT now a days...

Back when I got my CRT, I was considering an LCD but everyone told me for gaming the CRT would be better... I wonder if thats still the case nowadays.

Ok so my video card is a 6800GT. Can I hook up my 50" with DVI ( I bought the cable for 80 bucks )?

Do I need a special connector/adapter for the DVI cable to work with my pc. The RGB port is decent but the quality isnt as good as I thought it would be.

I went with my ing and decided to go with Samsung's 32" display. Just picked it up today. Can't wait to hook it up.

I will be testing Batman Begins on it tonight.

This is the one I got:
