Surround Sound Question

I just bought another dream system for the living room with wireless rear speakers. My novice question is how does everyone connect their surround sound with DVD player. I have a 360 with the HD player but want to have it surround sound as well and I am wonder if the RC cables are the best route.

So I have a 60" Wega in the living room and I just one a 55" plasma in a sales contest.

Do I move the Wega to the game room or does the plasma go in the game room?

Plasma's aren't the best for gaming due to the chance of burn in. Most newer generations plasma's are not quite as susceptible to burn in, but the chances are still there. For surround sound, you want to hook up your equipment with a digital connection. Either Digital Coax or Optical cables, or if available, an HDMI cable. For sound I would recommend Digital Coax or Optical though as there are still bugs with HDMI. If you connect with just regualr analog RCA connections, you will not be receiving true surround sound.
