Samsung SIR-T451 - does it really work?
I have said it before, but I am not a big video guy, I have a LCD front projector with a 100" screen and use it only with a DVD player(via HDMI cable). Click the link below to get an idea about what the samsung does, its an HD tuner, it picks up the HD signals and you get free HD. Anyone have experience with this type of unit? I know I will also need a good powered antena but even when you factor that in its no different then paying for 4 months of digital cable TV. I don't want to get cable because I know I just don't watch TV that much, I have maybe 120 hours on my projector over the course of 8 months.
With the samsung I was planning on running a DVI cable from the tuner to the projector and use the audio output to my integrated amp and call it a day.
