Olevia or Insignia for a 32"

Guys,

Before you scorn me I have a 50" Pioneer in the living room for movies!

This is for the bedroom, to be used for light watching purposes only. Both are $600 right now a steal for an LCD any recommendations on one over the other?

My recommendation would be to spend $300 more and get a Samsung. Especially if you are counting on the set's warranty and not a CostCo type warranty.

We just picked up the Insignia for my in-laws. The sales guy (whom I've now gotten 3 HDs from in the last month from) talked us out of spending 3-500 more since this set was such a good value.
I have not pulled it out of the box but will be installing it on the 26th....

Well I went tonight and spent over an hour comparing sets. The Insignia and Olevias really lacked contrast. You can visibly see the difference for $400 more. The panansonic and Samsung 32" models looked terrific.

Whats wrong with the costco warranty? Is it tough getting them to replace something you bought from there? I thought they had a very liberal return policy

Costco has an excellent return policy. In which case it would be fine to return a TV that had problems. I would not get a second-rate TV unless it was from Costco.

i prob couldve gotten the 42 for 750-800 also. but my girl could only afford the 32 and the sony upconvert dvd player for my xmas gift.

my friend's dad owns an electronic store and hooked me up for a lil over wholesale and gave me rebates + fake reciepts. lol best xmas gift so far.

The LG rebates right now are great. They don't apply to Circuit City, Best Buy or other big box stores. I also got mine for wholesale plus rebates. I was considering the 50", but after getting the 42" home, I am glad I didn't. It would have been way to big for the space I have it.
