Need a better power center/surge protector

Hey guys picked up my 40" LCD (Sony Bravia) and I notice it has alot of background static around the main picture. I was told a better power center should clear it up. Just wanting to see what you guys are running. Not looking for anything crazy expensive.

ps I have a small Monster one right now.

Well, I have a Panamax 5110. But I think it's more than you want. I would stay away from Monster, you pay a lot just for the name.

Do you get the static if you plug the TV directly into the wall?
